  • Expungement

Clear your criminal record through the expungement process. Oregon has recently updated its expungement laws shortening the waiting times and expanding access to seal both arrests and convictions in Oregon.

Most sex crimes, DUI Diversion/Convictions, traffic crime convictions like Reckless driving, Class A & B person felonies, elder abuse and child abuse are NOT eligible.

However, Class B felony property crimes, Class C felonies including drug crimes, non-traffic misdemeanors, non-traffic violations, and criminal contempt ARE eligible. Contact us for details.

  • Reduction of Certain Felonies to Class A Misdemeanor

If you’re not eligible for expungement yet on your Class C felony, we may be able to ask the court to reduce the conviction to a misdemeanor and then file for expungement.

Any Class C felony, Class B felony marijuana possession or delivery, Class B possession of a controlled substances offenses, or Class A felony racketeering offenses can be reduced to a Class A Misdemeanor after a person has successfully completed probation and a Judge, “considering the nature and circumstances of the crime and history and character of the defendant, believes that a felony conviction would be unduly harsh.”

  • Firearm Rights Restoration

If you’re not otherwise eligible for expungement, you may still be eligible to have your firearm rights restored under ORS 166.274.

People convicted of person felonies, Measure 11 crimes or people still serving a sentence or served a sentence within the past year are not eligible.

  • Relief from Sex Offender Registration

If you were convicted of a sex crime in Oregon and the Board of Parole and Post Prison Supervision has ranked you as a “Tier 1,” you may be eligible to apply for relief from registration. Contact us for details.

In some limited circumstances, if your petition for Relief is granted, you may then be eligible for expungement.

  • Expedited Process for Marijuana Expungement

Senate Bill 420 (2019) created an expedited process for expungement of certain marijuana convictions. Reach out for a free consult.
